AfD Wants Cheap Russian gas, 'Massive Threat to Bidenworld's Grand Ukraine Energy Play: Benz
He said the “grand Ukrainian play” was to privatize Ukraine’s gas assets, kill Russia’s Gazprom, and force Europeans to buy American LNG, or London’s Shell
Mike Benz, the executive director of the Foundation for Freedom Online and former State Department diplomat, laid out his theory on why Germany’s AfD is a direct threat to “Bidenworld’s” Grand Ukraine Strategy that could be traced back to Hillary Clinton’s stunning defeat to Donald Trump in 2016.
Benz sent a message to Elon Musk on X about his theory on why the tech billionaire faced swift backlash by appearing sympathetic to the German populist party. Musk reposted Benz’s video and called it an “interesting perspective.”

Benz posted that AfD is a threat because it wants cheap Russian gas, which is a “massive threat to Bidenworld+ BlackRock's Grand Ukraine Energy Play.”
Benz’s post was viewed 11 million times.
Benz gave a little history.
He said the European migrant crisis in 2012 and 2013 gave rise to populist movements that wanted to secure their borders. These groups were quickly written off as fringe and purveyors of hate speech.
AfD is no different and has been accused of being anti-Semitic and racist, but he said the real concern is Liquid Natural Gas.
“It’s all about the LNG,” he said. “Liquified Natural Gas — the gas market. OK? That’s the story of AfD. That’s the story of the State Department’s involvement, the Biden family’s involvement, and the entire internet censorship.”
He said Donald Trump’s victory in 2016 stunned Washington. State Department lifers, who thought they were in for a promotion, instead got fired.
He said this was the cabal that did a “dirty diplomat roadshow” in Europe to get European countries to sanction Russia after the Crimea annexation in 2014.
They repeated the move in 2016 to get European countries to increase online censorship. He said the effort culminated in Germany in 2017 when Berlin passed NetzDG. Benz called the law a “first-of-its-kind” internet censorship law that requires AI to moderate content. Under the bill, social media platforms have 24 hours to remove hate speech of face a $50M+ fine.
“That wasn’t Germany’s idea,” he said. “That was a U.S. State Department, UK Foreign Office operation.”
He said the “grand Ukrainian play” was to privatize Ukraine’s gas assets, kill Russia’s Gazprom, and force Europeans to buy American LNG, or London’s Shell, which would lead to hundreds of billions in profits “because you become the monopoly supplier by kicking out the cheap Russian gas, which is orders of magnitude cheaper than having to ship it across the ocean.”
He said AfP, a workers party, wanted the cheap energy from Russia — and embraced the Nord Stream 2 pipeline — and that would “fuck over the State Department’s grand Ukrainian energy play.”
He said the allegations into the Biden family corruption and Hunter Biden’s position on the Burisma board were all tied to the effort, and if AfD won, it would kill the scheme.
“You have to remember that Germany is the industrial powerhouse of Europe,” he said. “If they turn populist, then the entire foothold goes.”
Just weeks after Seymour Hersh published his blockbuster report on the Nord Stream pipelines sabotage allegedly committed by the Biden administration to force Germany to remain committed to U.S. sanctions against Russia over Ukraine, President Joe Biden praised German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for “diversifying away from Russian energy sources.”
