Anti-War, Anti-NATO Rally Hits Germany, and - Like in the U.S. - Denounced by Media, Politicians
Peace has been banned in the U.S. since the start of the Ukraine War because the Biden administration wants Russia weakened

This past Saturday, an estimated 50,000 people went to Brandenburg Gate in Berlin to call for the end of all weapon shipments to Ukraine and to push for a peaceful settlement.
Sahra Wagenknecht, a German opposition lawmaker from the Left party, was one of the organizers in Berlin and she criticized her government for keeping the war going in an effort to weaken Russia.
“After a year of death and destruction, I ask: What is stopping us from starting negotiations now instead of waiting three years?” -Alice Schwarzer
The protest’s organizers published a “Manifesto for Peace” earlier this month that received about 620,000 signatures, DW reported, citing change.org. They said both sides need to negotiate and there needs to be compromises from both sides. Any talk of ceding land has been thoroughly rejected by the West as rewarding Russia for an international war crime.
Alice Schwarzer, a prominent writer and feminist, told the crowd, according to DW, “The word pacifist has been turned into an insult—and from the left, just imagine that.”
Schwarzer said she believes her manifesto is gaining momentum and is “well on the way to becoming a real citizens’ movement,” according to the news outlet. She said there could not be higher stakes. “This is about the survival of mankind,” she said, and that it is criminal to make Ukraine believe it can defeat the much larger Russia.
“After a year of death and destruction, I ask: What is stopping us from starting negotiations now instead of waiting three years?”
The rally message was clear; protesters rejected the claim that there can be no place for peace talks at the moment. Some people also brandished signs that read: “Stop War, Stop NATO.”
Another read, “Helmets today, tanks tomorrow, the day after tomorrow your sons.”
Norbert, a former soldier, declined to provide his full name to The Guardian newspaper. He held a sign that read, “The real enemy sits in the City of London and New York.”
“We are like the slaves to war and the warmongers,” he said. He said Germany had no right to participate in another war after WWII. The AFP noted that one sign read, “Americans, Go Home.”
We Hate Peace
In reporting the peace rally, DW news denigrated it with the headline, “Berlin readies for ‘naïve’ Ukraine peace rally.”
The protest was roundly criticized by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz who warned that it could weaken public support. He said, “The Russian president currently accepts only one form of negotiations namely unconditional surrender, allowing him to push through all his goals.”
Scholz told the Munich Security Council earlier this month that Germany plays an important role in European security. He said Berlin “acknowledges its responsibility for the security of Europe and the NATO alliance area, without ifs and buts.”
DW noted that the Social Democrats and the socialist Left Party have not taken part in the protests.
Robert Habeck, the deputy chancellor and economy minister from the Greens Party, said in an interview that rally organizers were naive to think that peace can be obtained when there is an “imperialist dictator” in President Vladimir Putin who would invade other countries. He said, “everyone who is sane wants peace.”
TRENDPOST: Germany first took a pragmatic approach to the war, but has since proved to be one of Kyiv’s biggest supporters and announced a major overhaul to its own military. TREND FORECAST: Peace is prohibited. Only war, hate, fear and hysteria are permitted.
The protesters in Berlin were faced with allegations that they were pro-Putin by supporting an end to the conflict. We live in a warped world where the people sending more Ukrainians to their death are the ones who get credit for caring most about the country.
Peace has been banned in the West, and nothing stirs hatred in the pro-war propaganda press like a peace rally calling for an end to the Ukraine War.
Rachel Maddow, the MSNBC host, did her best to mock the Rage Against the War Machine Rally in Washington, D.C., last weekend, which included Gerald Celente as one of the speakers. She suggested that the event was somehow pro-Russian because her producers managed to clip a video that showed a few Russian flags in the crowd.
Maddow said the small crowd was comprised of social misfits: “short straws, split ends, and loose change.”
❝We must be in a position to respond to every act of opposition by war with the neighbors of that country which dares to oppose us: but if these neighbors should also venture to stand collectively together against us, then we must offer resistance by a universal war.❞
