Arming Ukraine With F-16s Can Lead to Nuclear War: Medvedev
F-16 jets can be made to carry the B61 nuclear bomb and have nowhere to take off from in Ukraine...which means they would have to launch from a NATO country, he said.
Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia, warned the West that providing Ukraine with F-16s can lead to nuclear war — and noted that Kyiv does not even have the infrastructure to launch these jets.

“So if one of those planes takes off from a NATO nation [on a Ukrainian mission] – what would that be? An attack on Russia. I shall not describe what could happen next,” he said, according to Azerbaycan 24. “Such a development may not be even sanctioned by the NATO leadership and the U.S.”
Reports said the first Ukrainian pilots could complete their training on the aircraft within weeks, but some issues remain. Demark was the first country to promise Ukraine the aircraft and said it would send at least 24. The U.S. has also announced it will supply Ukraine with F-16s.
Sergey Lavrov, Russia’s top diplomat, said last year that Moscow has expressed its deepest concerns that the West will be providing Ukraine with F-16s that can carry nuclear warheads, and said its forces will have to respond accordingly.
“We voiced our strongest concern at the meeting of experts of the Nuclear Five nations at the UN Security Council,” he recently said. “The Americans tried to downplay the issue saying, do you really think we will give Ukraine jets carrying nuclear weapons? We said that we are not even thinking. Our systems monitoring those jets will not be able to tell a plane carrying nuclear weapons from the one that is not carrying them. To answer your question about our response, it will be made by the military. They know what is to be done.”

Gen. Mark Milley, the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, warned last year that F-16s will not be some “magic weapon” for Ukraine and noted that Russia has 1,000 fourth-generation fighters.
TRENDPOST: The Trends Journal has long said the Ukraine War will continue to drag on, and, in the process, move the world closer to a nuclear exchange. We have said WWIII will not be declared until the first nuclear flash or a major false flag event.
An arrest warrant should be made out for Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and JCS Chairman, General Charles Q Brown at the Pentagon, if F-16s are ordered for delivery to Ukraine. Medvedev made a good point. If the Russians don't know which weapons the F-16's are carrying over Ukraine or Russian airspace, Russia's defense will have to develop countermeasures that take nukes into consideration. It opens up a new can of worms on a much higher level. One that puts the threat of nuclear war on a razor's edge.
