Calls for 'Incompetent' Hegseth, Waltz to Resign Over Signal Group Chat That Included The Atlantic Editor
Waltz could be in violation of 'several provisions of the Espionage Act,' Jeffery Goldberg wrote.
Jeffery Goldberg, the editor of The Atlantic, reported Monday that U.S. President Donald Trump’s inner circle included him in a Signal chatroom about the military’s recent airstrikes on the Houthis in Yemen showing the ineptitude of Trump’s team.
Goldberg wrote that he was aware of the 15 March strikes that the U.S. carried out on Yemen before the first explosion because Peter Hegseth, the former Fox News Weekend host playing the role of defense secretary, texted him about the plans beforehand, which included precise information about weapons packages, targets, and timing.
