Ukrainian President Vlodomyr Zelensky threw a hissy fit when he found out that the U.S. and Russia’s meeting in Saudi Arabia was a big success, and announced that he would postpone his upcoming trip to Riyadh later in the week.

“Ukraine and Europe—meaning the European Union, Turkey, and Britain—must be included in the talks and the development of necessary security guarantees that affect the fate of our part of the world, together with America,” he said, according to Newsweek.

The meeting in Riyadh between U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov ended with both countries striking an optimistic tone about ending the three-year-old war and normalizing relations.

Rubio said there will “be engagement and consultation with Ukraine, with our partners in Europe and others, but ultimately, the Russian side will be indispensable to this effort,” according to The New York Times.

Zelensky said Ukraine would not recognize any deals made without its participation.

Lavrov told reporters after the meeting that he believed the discussions “were highly productive,” according to RT. He told reporters that the American delegation listened to Russia’s concerns about Ukraine and, “not only did we listen, but we genuinely heard each other.” (Some Background.)

TRENDPOST: The Trends Journal has said since before the start of the war that Ukraine stood no chance of defeating the much-larger Russian Army and it should negotiate to save lives and land. (The longer the war continued, the more it would lose of both.)

But we are ignored in the mainstream news media, and the Presstitutes were selling the propaganda that the Russians were on the run and — because of Ukrainian resolve and Western support — our hero Zelensky was able to stop Russia from reaching Kyiv, which was never the objective.

Mike Waltz, Trump’s national security adviser who also joined the meeting, repeated what we said: “The practical reality is that there’s going to be some discussion of territory and there’s going to be discussion of security guarantees, those are just fundamental basics.”
