Depraved Trump Team Defends Israel's Starvation Campaign in Gaza at ICJ
U.S. defends Israel as it weaponizes food in Gaza
U.S. President Donald Trump sent a team to the Hague on Wednesday to defend Israel’s right to starve Gazan children and continue to carry out its brutal genocide with Washington’s full backing.
Josh Simmons, a legal adviser from the U.S. State Department, made the case and told the International Court of Justice that there was “no legal requirement that an occupying power permit a specific third state or international organisation to conduct activity that would compromise its security interests,” according to Al Jazeera.
The move to defend Tel Aviv should surprise nobody.
Itamar Ben-Gvir, the head of the Jewish Power party, met with Republicans last week at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago and said the meeting went well and they, too, agreed food storages should be bombed.
“I had the honor and privilege to meet with senior officials of the Republican Party at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate. They expressed support for my very clear position on how to act in Gaza and that the food and aid warehouses should be bombed in order to create military and political pressure to bring our hostages home safely," he said in an X post.
Craig Mokhiber, a former UN lawyer, posted on X that the U.S. argued, “almost alone in the world, in defense of the Israeli regime in its attacks on humanitarians and the blocking of aid.”
