Draft-Dodger U.S. Senate Warhawk Says We’re ‘Getting Our Money’s Worth’ in Ukraine
The biggest cowards in the U.S. Senate are the ones who want to more war with Russia – as long as someone else is dying

The Trends Journal has long said that there is only one political party in Washington: the War Party.
Draft-dodger Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., wrote in an op-ed Wednesday that made the case for more Ukraine funding. He has visited Ukraine four times – most recently with uber-hawk Sen. Lindsey Graham, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
Blumenthal bullshitted that Ukraine was the “tip of the spear” and that Russia would continue its roll into Western Europe if it is not stopped in Ukraine. He also went on to say that the U.S. is getting its “money’s worth” in the fight.
Even Americans who have no particular interest in freedom and independence in democracies worldwide, should be satisfied that we’re getting our money’s worth on our Ukraine investment. For less than 3 percent of our nation’s military budget, we’ve enabled Ukraine to degrade Russia’s military strength by half. We’ve united NATO and caused the Chinese to rethink their invasion plans for Taiwan. We’ve helped restore faith and confidence in American leadership — moral and military.
Blumenthal’s comments seemed to echo the viral video of Graham appeared to call the billions that the U.S. spent in Ukraine “the best money we’ve spent” before noting that Russians were dying in the conflict.
(The Associated Press noted that Ukraine’s presidential office edited the video and put Graham’s comments about American support and Russians dying in a sequence, which drew swift scrutiny in Russia.)
Graham, one of the biggest war hawks in Congress who has called for Russian President Vladimir Putin to be assassinated at least twice, posted on Twitter, saying that “to know that my commitment to Ukraine has drawn the ire of Putin’s regime brings me immense joy.”
TRENDPOST: It is worth noting that Graham is a fat mouth nothing of a man who could not fight his way out of a paper bag and has adored every war the U.S. started—was discussing the U.S.’s decision not to impose a no-fly zone over Ukraine, which many see as the beginning of WWIII.
Earlier in the war, Graham was asked in an interview about President Joe Biden’s decision to turn down the idea of Poland delivering two dozen older-model MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.
“Because Putin owns Biden,” Graham said.
Graham has been one of the biggest proponents of more weapons for Ukraine in Congress and has said “defeating Putin is priceless.”
It is worth noting that Graham’s hatred for Russia runs deep and dates back to his interventions with now-deceased Sen. John McCain, and Victoria Nuland, who is the undersecretary of state for foreign affairs.
In 2017, the two promoted war and Graham urged Ukrainian troops to ignore the Minsk Agreement: “Your fight is our fight.… 2017 will be the year of offense.”
The Nation reported that McCain said, “I believe you will win. I am convinced you will win and we will do everything we can to provide you with what you need to win.”
The magazine wrote, “One could be forgiven for wondering if there is any precedent for such an incitement to violence by two sitting US senators?”
