Former Apartheid State Accuses Current Apartheid State of Genocide in Gaza
Both Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch Israel have stated that Israel’s treatment of Palestinians meets the internationally accepted definition of apartheid.
South Africa, them former apartheid state, accused Israel, a current apartheid state, of carrying out genocide during its war campaign in Gaza that has been approved and funded by the Biden administration.

South Africa filed the case against Israel in the Hague-based International Court of Justice and accused Israel of attempting to “bring about the destruction of a substantial part of the Palestinian national, racial and ethnical group.”

“The acts in question include killing Palestinians in Gaza, causing them serious bodily and mental harm, and inflicting on them conditions of life calculated to bring about their physical destruction,” the application read, according to Al Jazeera.
The application said Israel is in violation of its obligations under the Genocide Convention.
