GANTZ: Israel Should Back Biden Ceasefire, Restart War Next Year
Palestinians will never have peace under the current framework

Benny Gantz, the National Unity chair who resigned from Netanyahu’s government earlier this month, said in an interview last week that Israel should accept a ceasefire deal — even a permanent one — because it would not be difficult to pick up where it left off in a year.
“I want the hostages to return home,” Gantz said in an interview with Channel 12 earlier this week, according to The Times of Israel. “If there is a change in the fighting and our hostages are returned, and we do what needs to be done in the Gaza Strip in a year, or in two years, that’s not an issue,” he said. “I want the hostages home, I want to have strong security, and then we can continue what needs to be continued.”
