If you’re not a member of the so-called Western “democracies” whose politicians launch endless wars and rob people of their freedom, non-members are labeled dictators.
That’s the message from Germany’s top diplomat who is a strong supporter of the Ukraine War, Annalena Baerbock, who earlier this month called Chinese President Xi Jinping a dictator.
Baerbock was interviewed by Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News and spoke about how the West needs to continue its support for Ukraine’s war effort for “as long as it takes.”
She said a Russian victory in Ukraine would be a symbolic win for all dictators—like Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart.
In March 2022, shortly after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, U.S. President Joe Biden called Putin a “pure thug” and “murderous dictator.” Last June, Biden also identified Xi as a “dictator.”
China called Biden’s remark “irresponsible” and said comments like those hurt chances at stabilizing relations.
Baerbock told Fox News: “If Putin were to win this war, what sign would that be for other dictators in the world, like Xi, like the Chinese president? Therefore, Ukraine has to win this war.”
TRENDPOST: It is worth reminding our readers that Baerbock has been one of the loudest anti-Russian voices since the start of Russia’s special military operation. We have also noted that her opinion about Russia in the German government is not unique. The country recently identified Moscow as the world’s biggest threat to peace.
