Scholz is in a political fight for survival.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called those who criticized the West’s effort to pump Kyiv with weapons “fallen angels from hell”— not peace advocates.
RT, the Russian news outlet, reported that Scholz addressed a crowd in Munich and was taunted by some in the audience. He was called a “loser” and a “warmonger.”
He brushed off the hecklers and said the people claiming to be peaceful doves are, in fact, “fallen angels, that come from hell, because at the end of the day, they make the case for a warmonger.”
He did not mention Russian President Vladimir Putin by name, but it was clear who he was referring to.
Scholz said the goal in the West is not regime change in Moscow.
TRENDPOST: The Trends Journal has reported extensively on Scholz’s evolution from sober-minded leader to warmonger.
It is notable that Scholz was at a campaign event when he made the comments to the peace protesters. He is in a political fight for survival. Establishment politicians in Germany are pressing panic buttons amid the surge in popularity for the country’s top “far-right” political party—the Alternative for Germany, or AfD—that seems poised to make gains in local and national elections based on financial hardship and disgust for the ruling elite.
One X user posted that Scholz is likely all in on the war for two main reasons. 1) The “far-right” AfD is growing in popularity with its no-war message, and 2) Scholz thinks that winning a Nobel Peace Prize could benefit his campaign.
“Biden and his fans should stop making Olaf Scholz a warmonger and hurting Germany’s economy by war,” the user posted.
Annalena Baerbock, Germany’s top diplomat who let slip that Europe is already at war with Russia, praised Ukraine for attacking targets deep inside Russia in an apparent effort to distract from Kyiv’s dismal counteroffensive.
“Russia has attacked Ukraine, and therefore Ukraine has a right enshrined in the UN Charter to defend its country, to defend its people,” Baerbock said, completely disregarding the West getting assurances from Ukraine that it will not use Western equipment to strike Russian territory.
Watching Germany's increasingly speedy slide into the alternate "Clown World" universe is morbidly fascinating.
Annalena Baerbock may be the world's most inept foreign minister, acting like she was hired straight out of high school. (One might say that Antony Blinken in the US is worse, but maybe that's just because he's had more and better opportunities to screw up.) I guess she didn't get the email that one must always precede any reference to Russia's SMO with the pejorative "unprovoked".
Lately we hear reports of the persecution of C.J. Hopkins in the German courts--what a sad joke. I thought Germany was a free speech democracy.
Now here we have Scholz pirouetting like a ballerina, and in his "opposite world" reality, asserting that pushing for more weapons to Ukraine is advocating for peace, and it is those calling for real peace that are the actual warmongers.
All Germany needs is a banana plantation for its transformation to be complete.
