GIRALDI: Trump to Get 'Suckered' Into War With Iran for Israel? Probably

Rebel attack on Syria right after bullshit ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah could be the final step before Iran, former CIA analyst says

Philip Giraldi, the former CIA analyst, posted on X late Friday that Israel’s so-called ceasefire with Hezbollah enabled a shift to the next target, Syria — and it is “to be presumed that the final target will be Iran with the United States doing the heavy lifting, paying the costs and absorbing most of the casualties.”

“Will [Donald] Trump be suckered into such a development?” he asked, rhetorically. “Probably.”

The Syrian invasion, while still in its infancy, involves groups aligned with the Turkish-backed Hayat Tahrir al-Sham. Iran and Russia, allies of Syria’s Bashar al-Assad have blamed the unrest on U.S.-Israeli intermingling in Damascus’s sovereignty in hopes of further destabilizing the region.

Jake Sullivan, U.S. President Joe Biden’s warhawk national security adviser, appeared on CNN to admit that HTS is a terror organization but said: “At the same time, of course, we don’t cry over the fact that the Assad government, backed by Russia, Iran and Hezbollah, are facing certain kinds of pressure. So it’s a complicated situation.”

Jeffery Sachs, the Columbia economist, said in an interview with Piers Morgan Tuesday that the rebel invasion is likely part of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s long-term gameplan that involves overthrowing governments in neighboring countries that support Palestinians.

With the election of pro-Israel hawk Trump and an administration designed to put Israel first, top Israelis believe they will have a White House that will go along with their dream of all-out war with Iran.

Sen. J.D. Vance, Donald Trump’s VP pick, wasted little time to show why the former president picked him, and said in an earlier interview that the U.S. needs to stop with little pinpricks against Iran, and “punch Iran hard.”

"We need to punch Iran hard. That's what Trump did with Qasem Soleimani. That action actually brought peace by checking the Iranians,” he said.

Vance, who tries to present himself as an isolationist, also said Israel should not be “micromanaged” while it carries out the genocide because Jesus was born in the region.

Giraldi was also critical of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah that allows “Netanyahu to resume the conflict as he sees fit.”
