HOW MUCH? Rubio Floats Eye-Popping Number for Future U.S. Defense Spending

Trump once bullshitted the public and said he would like to cut military spending in half.

Marco Rubio, the neocon warmonger playing the role of the U.S.’s top diplomat, said the U.S. is on the path to spending significantly more on its military as global conflicts heat up with no end in sight.

Rubio was asked about the U.S. push to get NATO countries to spend 5 percent of their GDP on defense. (The issue has been a sore subject in Brussels and Washington because about a third of the alliance does not even pay the 2 percent minimum.)
