IRAN WAR TO BECOME OFFICIAL? Israel Fighting an 'Axis,' Not Single Enemy: Gallant
It's always been about Iran
Yoav Gallant, Israel’s defense head, said in an interview that Israel is not fighting a single enemy, but rather an entire “axis” and “the world needs to understand this is different.”
“My basic view: We are fighting an axis, not a single enemy,” Gallant told The Wall Street Journal. “Iran is building up military power around Israel in order to use it.”
His comments sounded like U.S. Knesset Leader Rep. Mike Johnson, who said “China, Russia, and Iran make up the “axis of evil” and it is an increasingly dangerous time for the world.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said last month that his war against Hamas will go on until “the end,” which was embraced by the far-right extremist MPs in the Israeli Knesset who have been calling for a Palestinian genocide since before the 7 October Hamas invasion.
Despite pressure from some within his own party, President Joe Biden has refused to put any conditions on the weapons the U.S. provides to Israel, thus, giving Netanyahu and his extremist Knesset a license to kill Palestinians in Gaza—while standing behind Israel in the event Iran or Hezbollah joins the fight.
