The UN shared an image of the former headquarters on X.

Balakrishnan Rajagopal, the UN special rapporteur on the Right to Adequate Housing, posted an update early Friday that Israel bombed the UNRWA headquarters in Gaza and it is now completely destroyed.

“Israel’s criminal attack on the UN continues without any consequences. High time to take action against Israel including through unseating from the UN, as was done with apartheid South Africa,” he posted.

Francesca Albanese, the UN special rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories, followed his post up: “Time to #UNseatIsrael from the UN.”

Antonio Guterres, the UN secretary-general, called the humanitarian crisis in Gaza a “moral stain on us all” and warned that the humanitarian support system in Gaza is about to collapse.

He also said the West Bank is also on the brink as “high levels of violence persist – including by Israeli security forces, settlers, and Palestinian armed groups.”

He called on a swift resolution to the war and somehow come up with a “political solution that will end the occupation and resolve the conflict in line with international law and relevant UN resolutions.”

The Gaza genocide has carried on for over nine months and there is no end in sight as Israel continues to carry out attack on UN schools and safe zones.

A new report by Oxfam accused Israel of systematically weaponizing the Gaza water supply, which has been cut by 94 percent to 4.74 liters a day per person. Seventy percent of all sewage pumps and 100 percent of all wastewater treatment plants have been destroyed.

“We’ve already seen Israel’s use of collective punishment and its use of starvation as a weapon of war. Now we are witnessing its weaponizing of water, which is already having deadly consequences,” Lama Abdul Samad, Oxfam Water and Sanitation specialist, said. “The Israeli government has been depriving Palestinians across the West Bank and Gaza of safe and sufficient water for many years.”

Albanese told France 24 that Israel is flagrant in its genocide in Gaza and the risk grows by the day of spreading to East Jerusalem and the West Bank.

“This is one of the most critical cases of genocide combat a tragedy foretold, because of the intent to eliminate the Palestinians with all means available – transferring them or neutralizing them or segregating them…The situation today in Gaza cannot be analyzed or qualified otherwise then it genocide. I have not seen a genocide where the intent was so ostentatious and vindicated over and over.”

TRENDPOST: Albanese continues to show the world what a true definition of bravery looks like, and, of course, she has been attacked for it.
