Israel's Next Phase of Genocide in Gaza: Death by Disease
Israel has been given carte blanche by the U.S. to kill as many Palestinians as possible
In November, the BBC ran a headline “Untreated Diseases Could Eventually Kill More People in Gaza Than Bombings.”
The report said:
Diarrhea and respiratory infections are widespread among children in overcrowded UN facilities where almost 1.1 million people are sheltering.
Patients with chronic illnesses like cancer are also receiving no treatment.
Giora Eiland, the former head of the Israeli National Security Council, spoke about how rampant disease could benefit the military campaign.
Who are the “poor” women of Gaza? They are all the mothers, sisters or wives of Hamas murderers…
The international community warns us of a humanitarian disaster in Gaza and of severe epidemics. We must not shy away from this, as difficult as that may be. After all, severe epidemics in the south of the Gaza Strip will bring victory closer and reduce casualties among IDF soldiers.
The WSWS report indicated that Israel has been ruthlessly effective in its alleged effort to cripple Gazans with disease.
“Because people are so crowded, because they are in such poor condition, because they lack food and they lack water, and they are unable to wash themselves or drink clean water, we are seeing huge rises in infectious diseases, particularly in diarrheal diseases—diarrheal disease is going up exponentially. It’s increased 31 times more than you would expect in children under 5; also in adults: 104 times greater than you would expect.” Dysentery has increased 14 times, Margaret Harris, a spokesperson for the WHO, said, according to the report.
Today, nearly 2 million Gazans face a growing environmental and health crisis, according to Middle East Eye.
Nearly eight months of relentless Israeli bombardment and siege has all but destroyed infrastructure, waste management facilities, and the Palestinian civil defence.
This has left human remains buried under mountains of debris for months, heaps of uncollected solid waste piling up on streets and sewage overflows are a regular occurrence.
The report, citing the UN, said there is an estimated 37 million tons of debris across Gaza, containing the remains of nearly 10,000 people, which will take years to clear.
TRENDPOST: Israelis were seen dancing during the Rafah massacre on Sunday while reportedly viewing footage showing Palestinians being burned alive. All while the mainstream media whores continue to provide protection for Israel’s atrocities.
