The Italian Embassy in Kyiv issued an alert to its nationals living and working in Ukraine that they should leave the country immediately amid a Russian escalation after an attempted drone strike at the Kremlin.
The embassy issued the alert on its “Viaggiare sicuri” (traveling safely) website. The alert said it “strongly recommends” Italians leave Ukraine because of the “ever heavier missile attacks on Kyiv and across all Ukrainian territory."
“Compatriots still in Ukraine are strongly advised to use the means still available, including trains, to leave the country immediately, at times when the curfew is not in force,” the warning read.
The warning said, “All travel to Ukraine, in any capacity, is strongly discouraged.”
Russia’s aerial attacks across Ukraine have increased significantly in the past week. Besides the drone attack on the Kremlin, Ukrainian forces are reportedly planning a counteroffensive in hopes to retake some of the land now under Russia’s control.
Air raid alerts were heard throughout most of "central and eastern Ukraine early on Tuesday, Al Jazeera reported. The latest assault follows the more than two dozen drones that were launched into Kyiv in the overnight hours on Monday. Six people were injured when they were by falling debris.
“The enemy is increasing the density of air attacks on Kyiv,” Serhiy Popko, the head of Kyiv’s military administration, according to The Wall Street Journal.
In preparations for Ukraine’s counteroffensive, Russia started to evacuate hundreds of civilians from occupied areas in south-eastern Ukraine, The Guardian reported.
TRENDPOST: Anyone who mentions anything but a complete victory for Ukraine is immediately banned by Presstitutes in the Western media who just want to see more war and repeat propaganda from the war-monger neo-cons inside the Biden administration.
Russia is a much bigger power and, like we’ve said for months, will achieve its objectives. Ukraine cannot compete militarily with Russia and NATO has no interest of joining the fight.
The reality is setting in that the upcoming counteroffensive will not amount to a decisive victory for Ukraine and Western support for a bloody stalemate will dwindle in the coming months.
