Katzenberg's Biden Fundraiser Interrupted by Anti-Genocide Protesters
Biden finds himself at risk of losing the young vote because of his unyielding support of Israel's genocide in Gaza.
Anti-genocide protesters interrupted a New York City fundraiser — organized by Jeffery Katzenberg —Thursday night that featured President Joe Biden and former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.
The event took place inside Radio City and guests paid up to $500,000 a ticket to watch these presidents on stage with the clown Steven Colbert. The event was said to raise $25 million for the Biden presidential campaign.
Katzenberg, the co-chair of the Biden campaign, is one of the Jewish-Democratic “Megadonors” who have been bankrolling Biden’s campaign, according to Haaretz.
The paper reported last month that an “analysis of campaign finance disclosures showing contributions to Biden's campaign and pro-Biden PACs and super PACs for 2023 illustrates a deep groundswell of support from Jewish-Democratic benefactors. They make up a significant portion of the president's fundraising as he begins his reelection bid in earnest.”
Katzenberg gave $2.9 million, the paper said.
But if Thursday night’s fundraiser is any indication, Biden is quickly learning that his unyielding support for Israel’s genocide will haunt him in 2024.
