Garland Gave the OK for FBI to Raid Trump Home, Moves to Unseal Search Warrant
Says department enforces the law without fear or favor
Attorney General Merrick Garland addressed the media on Thursday during a brief press conference and said he personally approved the FBI raid on Donald Trump’s home in Palm Beach, Florida.

He also said that the Department of Justice moved to unseal the search warrant and property receipt relating to the search. He said the department does not make these decisions lightly.
"Just now, the Justice Department has filed a motion in the southern district of Florida to unseal a search warrant and property receipt relating to a court-approved search that the FBI conducted earlier this week. That search was a premises located in Florida belonging to the former president," Garland said.
The department did not make any statement since the Monday raid that was confirmed by the former president. He said one of Trump’s lawyers was present during the raid.
