Macron: No Justification for Israel to Keep Bombing 'Babies' in Gaza
French leader breaks from the U.S., which has banned any calls of a ceasefire
French President Emmanuel Macron said Friday that Israel does not have the right to continue its major bombing campaign in Gaza and said Jerusalem must stop killing women and babies in these strikes.
Macron broke from the U.S. warmongers in Congress and in the Biden administration and called for a ceasefire.
The BBC, citing Gaza's Hamas-run health ministry, reported that since the 7 October attack, 11,078 people had been killed in Israeli bombings and 1.5 million had fled their homes.

"De facto - today, civilians are bombed - de facto,” Macron said “These babies, these ladies, these old people are bombed and killed. So there is no reason for that and no legitimacy. So we do urge Israel to stop."

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to Macron: “While Israel is doing everything to refrain from harming civilians and calling on them to leave areas of fighting, Hamas-ISIS is doing everything to prevent them from leaving for safe areas and is using them as human shields.”
