MEARSHEIMER: Israel/U.S. war with Iran has not come to an end
University of Chicago professor says it seems the Trump administration is in panic mode
John Mearsheimer, the University of Chicago professor, said in an interview Thursday that it appears the U.S. and Israel were unable to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities and Tehran has vowed not to stop its enrichment, so any claim that the “12-day” war is over is nonsense.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and U.S. President Donald Trump have performed for the cameras as best they could to describe Iran’s nuclear facilities as “obliterated.”
“The so-called ‘leaked’ DIA report is preliminary and doesn’t reflect the full scope of what we accomplished. The media’s bias against President Trump is driving this narrative to undermine our success,” Hegseth said.
The initial report said the Fordow site was moderately damaged.
John Ratcliffe, the CIA director with close ties to Israel, said today that the site was “severely damaged.”
He issued a statement:
Mearsheimer told Judge Andrew Napolitano that Hegseth and Trump appeared to be in “panic mode” because they understand that the “word is getting out that this was not a spectacular success.”
“And this is bad news for Trump because Trump wants to put this war in the back closet,” he said. “He doesn’t want to continue to fight a war against Iran,” he said.
He continued: “The real problem here is that it wasn’t a great success, and that means the Israelis are going to reload the shotgun to go back after the Iranians.”
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said the U.S. “has gained nothing from this war.”
He continued: “The Islamic Republic won, and in retaliation dealt a severe slap to the face of America.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Iran’s nuclear project was “thwarted.”
“And if anyone in Iran tries to rebuild it, we will act with the same determination, with the same intensity, to foil any attempt,” he said, according to The Times of Israel.
Mearsheimer noted that Iran is committed to enrichment, and “Trump will eventually find out that the Iranian nuclear program is alive and well and then he is going to be faced with the problem about what to do about that.”
CELENTE: Israel will likely break ceasefire with Iran, like it did with Hamas, Lebanon, Syria
Gerald Celente, the publisher of The Trends Journal, said Tuesday that he believes Israel will violate the ceasefire with Iran, just like it violated previous ceasefires with Hamas, Lebanon, and Syria.
As Gerald Celente keeps saying
"Whent all else fails they take you to war." The US economy is on a fast track to losing world reserve currency. Plus with ISRAEL taking the US down a path of no return because US POLITICIANS are bought or blackmail to give ISRAEL what it wants.
Smells like Saddam Weapons of Mass Destruction that didn’t exist. The DOGS OR WAR WANT Conflict.
