Napolitano: Trump May Be Dumb Like a Fox in Classified Documents Trial
Trump may have fired his lawyers so that he has a basis to say to the trial judge that his lawyers will need a year to get through the documents
Gerald Celente and Judge Andrew Napolitano held there “Celente and the Judge” YouTube broadcast on Wednesday and spoke about former President Donald Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified documents.
Trump faces 37 charges. He has pleaded not guilty.
Napolitano lays out some of the hurdles that Trump’s legal team faces.
NAPOLITANO: If you look at the indictment Gerald, and I hate to say this, because I know him and I love him, but this is a very dangerous area for him. The source of the evidence against him in that indictment is his own mouth, his own words. On tape, boasting about holding secret plans to invade Iran, after leaving the White House, and acknowledging that he shouldn’t have them.
This is not like the feds or bugging his phone, he agreed to sit for the interview.
NAPOLITANO: The fact that there was no harm is no defense. I don't know what his defense is going to be. The two lawyers who represented him for a year and a half quit. What’s that mean?
PUTIN: WE CAN USE DEPLETED URANIUM, TOO
Gerald there are more than a million pages of documents in this case. Whoever the new legal team is, and as of this morning, the day after the arraignment, he still doesn't have a new legal team… whoever that new legal team is is going to have to examine all of those documents.
So he's at a tremendous disadvantage there. Now, he may be dumb like a fox, he may have fired his lawyers so that he has a basis to say to the trial judge that his lawyers will need a year to get through the documents, and if she accepts that, and the trial is delayed till after the election, well then that could have a very different outcome.
