NAPOLITANO: Trump’s ‘Meet the Press’ Interview Was Disastrous for His Defense
Trump's current lawyers now have egg on their faces.
Gerald Celente and Judge Andrew Napolitano met for their weekly “Celente & the Judge” YouTube show and spoke about how President Donald Trump did himself no favors in the “Meet the Press” interview that aired on Sunday.
Napolitano noted how Trump is accused of 91 criminal charges and has pleaded not guilty. He said Trump’s current lawyers spoke publicly about how the former president followed the “advice of lawyers and counsel” when allegedly committing the crimes.
But Trump told “Meet the Press” that he ignored his lawyers at the time because he “didn’t respect them.”
“It was my decision,” he said.
NAPOLITANO: Relying on counsel is a defense when the government has to prove that you did what you knew was wrong. If your lawyers told you it was OK, that negates the government’s proof. But Trump said in the interview that he didn’t follow his lawyers’ advice. He undercut his only defense, which was, ‘I didn’t understand the law and I was relying on the advice of counsel.’ His present lawyers now have egg on their faces, because they’ve been running around town saying he relied on the people representing him at the time

"Most American's have no clue about the Constitution or their rights."
We can thank the U.S.'s dumbed down government public school system for this lack of knowledge. And probably private schools and charter schools are also complicit in this lousy education too.
As I like to say, "Smart enough to do the job; dumb enough not to know what's going on around them."
