NATO: 'Weapons are the Way to Peace' in Ukraine; Democracy on the Line
Russia cited NATO as an existential threat, and continues to demand assurances that Ukraine will never become a member.
Jens Stoltenberg, the NATO head, told the World Economic Forum in Davos on Wednesday that more weapons is the only way to achieve peace in Ukraine.
Stoltenberg, who has been a top proponent of the war, addressed a “Restoring Security and Peace” plenary session and said, “Weapons are the way to peace.”

“What happens around the negotiating table is totally dependent on the strength on the battlefield. And if we want Ukraine to prevail, then they need the military strength,” he said.
His comments were made as the situation on the ground in Ukraine has grown bleaker. Polish President Andrzej Duda pleaded for more weapons at the same conference because of the threat that Russia is about to wipe Ukraine off the map.
“I am afraid that now, maybe in a few months, maybe weeks, there will be a decisive moment of this war. And this moment is the answer to the question: if Ukraine will survive or not,” he said.
Ukraine, which is getting more desperate, was also caught in another apparent false-flag attempt.
Stoltenberg tried to continue to sell the lie that this is not a border war and a fight for democracy itself. Stoltenberg said, “It is extremely important that President Putin doesn’t win this war - it will be a tragedy for Ukrainians, but also very dangerous for all of us. Because then the message to authoritarian leaders, not only to Putin, but also other authoritarian leaders is that when they use brutal force, when they violate international law, they achieve what they want. And that will be a very bad and dangerous lesson. It will make the world more dangerous and us more vulnerable.”
Last month, Stoltenberg said all-out war with Russia is on the table.
“It is also a war that can become a full-fledged war that spreads into a major war between NATO and Russia. We are working on that every day to avoid that,” he said at the time.
Ukraine is not a full NATO member and has been denied access by the alliance. Part of the reason Russia invaded was the threat of Kyiv joining the bloc. Moscow sees a NATO-aligned Ukraine as an existential threat.
TRENDPOST: Stoltenberg, who relies on the U.S. before making any policy statement, has said he understands how people living in Western countries could be tiring of the conflict, so he knows he has to scare the public and sell the line that if Ukraine doesn’t stop Russia now, the rest of the West will be in a fight for its existence. The public does not want war with Russia and we have documented some of the protests that have broken out in Europe over soaring energy prices and weapons support.
But the West sees an opportunity for a world without Putin, so it is willing to use Ukrainian fighters to achieve its aim.
Jens Stoltenberg is a Norwegian political hack who never served in the military but throws out fear mongering comments about wars and weapons like it was a Call to Duty video game. Like all these DC & Brussels elites, he knows nothing about what full scale war can do to the world because he feels entitled and immune to it.
