Netanyahu to Biden: Fuck You, Again
President held a reported "tense" call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who appeared defiant
U.S. President Joe Biden continues to allow Israel to do whatever the hell it wants after a bullshit phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday where he reportedly told the Israeli leader that future support from Washington hinges on some consideration for Palestinian life.
ISRAEL DELIBERATELY BOMBED HUMANITARIAN AID WORKERS, GROUP HEAD
The White House said in a statement that the president “emphasized that the strikes on humanitarian workers and the overall humanitarian situation are unacceptable. He made clear the need for Israel to announce and implement a series of specific, concrete, and measurable steps to address civilian harm, humanitarian suffering, and the safety of aid workers. He made clear that U.S. policy with respect to Gaza will be determined by our assessment of Israel’s immediate action on these steps.”
The move was seen as the toughest language yet out of the White House, but still does not flat-out tell Netanyahu to stop the genocide. The New York Times reported that Nentanyahu appeared unbowed and met with U.S. religious extremists Republicans who were in Israel on a trip “organized by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, known as AIPAC.” (SEE: MIKE JOHNSON IS NETANYAHU’S EVANGELICAL IN CONGRESS)
The paper said Netanyahu rejected any mention of a two-state solution.
“There is a contrary move, an attempt to force, ram down our throats a Palestinian state, which will be another terror haven, another launching ground for an attempt, as was the Hamas state in Gaza. That is opposed by Israelis, overwhelmingly,” he said.
Professor John Mearsheimer said in an interview published Wednesday that Israel is “basically out of control” and its escalatory strike on the Iranian consulate in Syria is likely an effort to force Iran’s hand to respond and drag the U.S. into war with Tehran.
