Netanyahu’s Goal is to Escalate War With Iran and West Approves: Ex-British Diplomat

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ultimate goal is an all-out war with Iran and he will do all he can to provoke Tehran so it responds and the war escalates – with the U.S. playing a major role, Alastair Crooke, the former British diplomat, told Andrew Napolitano’s “Judging Freedom.”
“He wants a full war,” Crooke said.
Crooke said Netanyahu is planning past Iran’s possible response to the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. He said Israel will respond to an Iranian attack with its own escalation – possibly using tactical nuclear weapons – to get the U.S. fully engaged.
“Where would that leave Russia and China?” he asked.
He said a wider war seems inevitable because there is only escalation and the whole of Western prosperity is based on “owning the resources of the rest of the world.”
“America's coming to a point that it needs to, if you'd like, rejuvenate that whole process… and it needs some sort of reset,” he said.
He noted that Netanyahu recently visited Congress and got reassurances that Americans will fight for Israel. He also noted that Sen. Lindsey Graham once spoke about not allowing Russia and China to get their hands on Ukrainian natural resources.
“The juice has been sucked out of the lemon” in the U.S.
Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said in an open letter to the Iranian people that the “Zionist regime” in Israel will pay for its decision to assassinate a top Hamas official who had been staying in the country to attend the new president’s inauguration.
