Trump throws a hissy fit to calm his base, all while giving Israel everything it needs to destabilize the Middle East
The Times of Israel’s headline on Tuesday said it all: “In a foul-mouthed tirade, Trump savages Israel for striking Iran, says it violated ceasefire.”
U.S. President Donald Trump, our favorite peacemaker, put on a show for the cameras outside the White House on Tuesday, expressing exasperation that both Israel and Iran violated the ceasefire he announced to bring an end to the 12-day war, which included strikes by U.S. B-2 bombers on Iranian nuclear facilities.
Trump has been a good boy for Israel and has done everything it could ever expect from a sitting president. This headline was an attempt to provide the White House a headline so his base thinks that he has the moxie to stand up to Israel when it is in the U.S.’s best interest.
He does not.
