Petraeus Teams Up with Victoria ‘Fuck the EU’ Nuland’s Brother-in-Law to Sell Ukraine War
The Trends Journal has long marveled at how U.S. generals, who have never won a war, can sustain a lucrative side-hustle promoting the Ukraine War
David Petraeus teamed up with Victoria “Fuck the EU” Nuland’s brother-in-law who helped come up with the U.S.’s Iraq strategy to try and convince you that Ukraine can still achieve victory in its fight against Russia.
Indeed, the Trends Journal has long marveled at how U.S. generals, who have never won a war, can sustain a lucrative side-hustle promoting the Ukraine War and the many ways Ukraine can STILL win the war. And how families of bipartisan neo-cons still run the Washington War Machine.
The Washington Post ran an op-ed co-authored by Petraeus, the former commander of the Multi-National Force who oversaw all coalition forces in the illegal, murderous, losing Iraq War and was the Army commander of U.S. forces in the murderous, illegal, losing Afghan War – and Frederick Kagan, the brother-in-law of Victoria “Fuck the EU,” the second in command in the U.S. State Department.
Being promoted for his failures, Petraeus was also the director of the CIA and rumored to be in line for a Cabinet position in the Trump White House, but his career was undone after an affair with Paula Broadwell, his biographer. He was also guilty of mishandling classified information while CIA director, and now works at the private equity firm KKR, where he is a partner and head of the KKR Global Institute.
Kagan’s brother Robert worked for Irving Kristol, William Kristol’s father and founder of the Weekly Standard. Fredrick Kagan was a West Point professor, and The New York Times reported that his paper for the American Enterprise Institute, “Choosing Victory, a Plan for Success in Iraq,” “served as the intellectual basis for the 2007 troop increase, the so-called surge.“
Petraeus and Kagan want you to disregard that Ukraine’s long-awaited counteroffensive, which was a total failure. They say these forces “might yet surprise critics.”
War does not proceed in a linear fashion. Defenders can hold for a long time and then suddenly break, allowing an attacker to make rapid gains before the defense solidifies further to the rear. The Ukrainians aim to generate exactly this effect — and there is reason to think they can. Ukraine’s offensive push is far from over. In fact, it is still in the early stages — just 10 weeks into what is likely to last at least four more months.
They continued, “For Western observers, it is important to keep this big picture in mind when following Ukraine’s grueling fight. And policymakers should not wring their hands about the counteroffensive not yielding quick gains. This will be a long war, and we need Ukraine to prevail.”
Nuland, and her neo-con husband, Robert Kagan, could not have said it better!
Disregard the reports that Ukraine lost over 400,000 men in the war and suffered tens of thousands of amputees. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said the U.S. is happy to fight the war to the last Ukrainian.
But those paying attention know bullshit when they see it.
Robert J. O’Neill, the former U.S. Navy SEAL who fired the shot that killed Osama bin Laden, tweeted earlier this year, “David Petraeus was just giving combat advice on TV. Bernie Madoff is up next on finance.”
“I keep seeing 4 star generals on TV giving commentary on how to win this war,” he posted. “They’ve never won a war. They lost. Want examples?” he posted.
TRENDPOST: The facts are there and more Americans are learning about the history between Russia and Ukraine. Russia invaded Ukraine because it saw NATO’s expansion as an existential threat. Step back for a moment, and consider an anti-American revolution taking place in Mexico City and a new government inviting the Russian military to train and arm its military.
