Putin Calls Dam Attack ‘Barbaric’
Like the Nord Stream pipeline, the dam attack will conveniently never be solved
Russian President Vladimir Putin called the attack on the Kakhovka dam in Ukraine's Kherson region “barbaric” and said Kyiv is “committing war crimes” and “openly using terrorist methods.”
Putin made the comments during a phone call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. RT, the Russian news outlet, cited Vassily Nebenzia, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, who said, Kyiv attacked the dam to free up forces and “take revenge on the Crimeans for their choice in favor of Russia and leave the population of Crimea without water.”
There is no question that the dam’s breech has been an ecological disaster.
António Guterres, the UN secretary-general, said the breach will cause a “monumental humanitarian, economic and environmental catastrophe.”
The Western propaganda media has blamed Russia for the attack, using Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s comments as its only evidence.
There are three possible theories.
1- Ukraine attacked the dam so it can avoid waging the long-anticipated counteroffensive
2- Russia attacked the dam to prevent the Ukrainian military from taking offensive action in the region.
3- The breach was accidental and nobody benefited.
Sergei Shoigu, the Russian defense minister, said Ukraine destroyed the dam to prevent Russian attacks in the Kherson region after what he alleged was a failed Ukrainian counteroffensive, according to The Associated Press.
The AP reported that Ukrainian officials “alleged Russia blew up the dam to hinder Kyiv’s counteroffensive, even though observers note that crossing the broad Dnieper would be extremely challenging.”
Col. Douglas Macgregor, (ret.), a senior fellow with The American Conservative and the former advisor to the Secretary of Defense in the Trump administration, told Judge Andrew Napolitano Tuesday that it looks as though the explosion occurred within the dam’s structure and could have something to do with the turbines.
“Whether this is the result of deliberate explosives or damage that occurred last year, no one knows. But more and more people are concluding that neither the Ukrainians or Russians deliberately destroyed this dam.”
He said the breach makes the Ukrainian counteroffensive “much tougher” because the flooded areas, specifically on the eastern side of the Dnieper make it “very difficult for their forces to move in the flooded areas.”
TRENPOST: The Western media wants you to believe that Russia would bomb its own pipeline to Germany (Nord Stream) and choke off Russians living in Crimea by intentionally flooding a dam.
The only reason the mainstream media gets away with such propaganda is because the public as ignorant as the White House “reporter pool” made up of former interns whose only talent is kissing the right ass to get the role. These people and can’t find Ukraine on a map. But they get to dress up in suits and ties and tell their friends back home that they’re reporters.
They are interested in career advancement, and the way to achieve that at Fox News, CNN, or NBC is by being a good boy and girl and not upsetting the executives.
