Maria Zakharova, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, mocked Victoria “Fuck the EU” Nuland’s recent trip to Niger and compared it to her destabilizing visit to Ukraine in 2013 in an attempt to overthrow the government and put in place its current “banana [republic-style] regime.”
Nuland, the neo-con and State Department’s #2, has been trying to put Niger’s deposed president, Mohamed Bazoum, back in power. Bazoum is seen by many in the country as a stooge for France, its former colonial power, and the U.S. He was overthrown in a bloodless coup.
“Victoria Nuland thought that in Niger it would work like in Ukraine: It will be enough to bring a cellophane bag full of cookies and play everyone for a fool. But, such a banana [republic-style] regime, like the one in Kyiv, cannot be found anywhere else,” Zakharova posted on Telegram, according to TASS, the Russian outlet.

TRENDPOST: Indeed, this video clearly shows her role in the U.S.-orchestrated coup of the democratically elected president of Ukraine, Victor Yanukovych. Imagine if the Russians were at a protest in America handing out bread!
Nuland is playing a key role in the U.S.’s response to the current crisis in Ukraine despite a controversial history that included orchestrating the overthrow of a democratically elected president in Ukraine that led to a civil war.
Salon ran a profile on Nuland last year that expressed dismay over her appointment to such an important position in the State Department. The article was titled “WHO IS VICTORIA NULAND? A REALLY BAD IDEA AS A KEY PLAYER IN BIDEN’S FOREIGN POLICY TEAM.”
The magazine said Nuland is “stuck in the quicksand of 1950s U.S.-Russia Cold War politics and dreams of continued NATO expansion, an arms race on steroids, and further encirclement of Russia.”
