Russia, Like the U.S. and Israel, Completely Ignores ICC Ruling
The International Criminal Court issues arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin, but means nothing.

Russia and the U.S. have at least one thing in common: both completely ignore the International Criminal Court, but only Washington has punished court members with visa bans and sanctions over war-crimes investigations.
The ICC on Friday issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin on war-crimes charges. The Western Presstitutes celebrated the order, but it really does nothing but allow politicians like Sen. Lindsey Graham to grandstand and act like this is an enormous development.
Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman from the Kremlin, said, “We consider the very premise outrageous and unacceptable. Russia, like many other states, does not recognize the jurisdiction of this court. Accordingly, the Russian Federation considers any of its pronouncements null and void from the legal standpoint.”
The ICC said in a statement obtained by the Associated Press that Putin “is allegedly responsible for the war crime of unlawful deportation of children and that of unlawful transfer of (children) from occupied areas of Ukraine to the Russian Federation.”
The ICC was established in 2002 to to fight impunity for the worst international crimes, according to Human Rights Watch, but is routinely ignored. The court is based in The Hague.
ASSAD MEETS WITH PUTIN, OPEN TO HYPSERSONIC MISSILES IN SYRIA
In 2019, former Secretary of State Michael Pompeo “imposed visa bans on ICC staff possible ICC investigation in Afghanistan that could examine conduct by US personnel and by a possible investigation in Palestine that would likely include conduct by Israeli officials,” HRW reported.
President Joe Biden ended Executive Order 13928 but agreed with Pompeo that the U.S. and Israel are above the law.
“We continue to disagree strongly with the ICC’s actions relating to the Afghanistan and Palestinian situations. We maintain our longstanding objection to the Court’s efforts to assert jurisdiction over personnel of non-States Parties such as the United States and Israel. We believe, however, that our concerns about these cases would be better addressed through engagement with all stakeholders in the ICC process rather than through the imposition of sanctions,” the State Department said in 2021.
Israel said in 2021 that it will not cooperate with any ICC probe into war crimes allegations in “occupied territory.” Israel said the ICC was “acting without authority” in the probe that would look into allegations against both Israelis and Palestinians.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry also sent a letter to the UN Security Council and Antonio Guterres about alleged war crimes committed by the U.S.-led coalition in the Raqqa back in 2017.
TRENDPOST: Vietnam War, Yugoslav War, Iraq Wars, Afghan War, Libya War, Yemen War, etc… in the evil eyes of Washington, they were not crimes against humanity that killed several million and cost scores of trillions. No, every U.S. President repeatedly praised their death squads asking that “God Bless our Troops”… for bringing “freedom and democracy” to foreign nations that were of no threat to the American people.
In pure hypocrisy, the U.S. has been fixated on uncovering war crimes committed by Russian forces in Ukraine and even sent U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland to Kyiv to “reaffirm” Washington’s commitment to help the government “identify, apprehend, and prosecute” individuals involved in these crimes.
The U.S. State Department announced in May that it launched a “Conflict Observatory” program intended to document evidence of war crimes committed by Russian troops during the Ukraine War to use in possible future prosecutions.
The Ukraine War has been fought on two fronts: the actual war, and the propaganda war. Russia and the U.S. are two propaganda heavyweights and we have documented at least one instance where Washington essentially admitted to embellishing a story to further its goal of vilifying Russia. (See “RUSSIA USE OF CHEMICAL WEAPONS IN UKRAINE WAS A U.S. LIE.”)
NBC News published a report in April that challenged Washington’s claim that Russia was planning a chemical attack against Ukrainian forces. One unnamed official went as far as to say that the claim was an effort by the U.S. to get into Russian President Vladimir Putin’s head.
The report cited three U.S. officials who said there is no evidence that Russia is planning a chemical attack against Ukraine.
Allegations of war crimes would bolster the U.S.’s effort to portray Russian President Vladimir Putin as a madman bent on world domination at all costs. Russia has essentially denied all wrongdoings and blamed Ukrainian forces and their Western allies for perpetuating the misinformation on a large scale. But, of course, the corporate/government media in the U.S. ignores Russia’s claims because “they can’t be trusted.”
TRENDPOST: It is also worth noting that Garland might do well to look into allegations of war crimes against former U.S. presidents. We reported last month that a video emerged showing President George W. Bush explaining to who he thought was Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that he only needs to be focused on killing Russians.
The video conference meeting turned out to be a prank, but offered viewers a glimpse at the depravity in the minds of our elected officials.
But, of course, the mainstream media pretended that the interview never happened. It is also notable that weeks prior to the prank, Bush slipped during a speech and called the Iraq invasion “unjustified.”
Biden has made a career out of calling Putin a “war criminal,” even before the invasion. (See “POT CALLS KETTLE BLACK: BIDEN CALLS PUTIN A WAR CRIMINAL.”)
PROTOCOLS OF THE MEETINGS OF THE LEARNED ELDERS OF ZION... Protocol No. 18 – Arrest of Opponents
“Criminals with us will be arrested at the first, more or less, well-grounded suspicion: it cannot be allowed that out of fear of a possible mistake an opportunity should be given of escape to persons suspected of a political lapse of crime, for in these matters we shall be literally merciless.”
