Influential Russian bloggers called Ukraine’s massive drone attack on military airfields “Russia’s Pearl Harbor,” and urged the Kremlin to carry out a massive escalation in response, according to a report.

The Washington Post cited one of these bloggers, Roman Alekhin, who posted on Telegram: “We hope that the response will be the same as the US response to the attack on their Pearl Harbor or even harsher. “This is not just a pretext. This is a reason to launch nuclear strikes on Ukraine. Two Majors.”

The paper noted that the drone attack followed the deadly collapse of two bridges in western Russia that occurred within hours of each other.

George Galloway, the host of “MOATS,” posted on X: “Today has been a day of infamy in Russia. Just like Pearl Harbor the Russian response will be swift and terrible. And can only end now, one way. In the unconditional surrender of the Ukrainian regime and their running dogs. I fully expect that to be conveyed in Istanbul tomorrow.”
