‘Spring Offensive’ Turns into ‘Fall Offensive’ as Ukraine Wants West to Ignore Reality
Austria and the Czech Republic refused Ukraine’s demand to extradite fighting-age Ukrainian men who had fled the country after the Russian invasion

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told reporters earlier this month that his forces are on the move, despite what critics have said about the country’s counteroffensive that wasn’t.
The West is under the impression that propaganda can replace troops and weapons for Ukraine, which is a falsehood that will only get more Ukrainians killed.
“No matter what anyone says, we are advancing, and that is the most important thing,” Zelensky said earlier this month. “We are on the move.”

CNN noted that Zelensky “appears to be trying to reverse the narrative that Ukraine’s summer counteroffensive has, to date, delivered poorer-than-expected results,” as reports indicated at the time that Ukraine spread its forces too thinly.
The size and lethality of Russia’s army was always going to be a problem for Ukraine, which now plans to update its conscription laws to enable Kyiv to draft men who would normally not be allowed to fight because of a debilitating illness, including HIV, viral hepatitis, and tuberculosis.
The European Conservative reported that Austria and the Czech Republic refused Ukraine’s demand to extradite fighting-age Ukrainian men who had fled the country after the Russian invasion.
The outlet reported that a leader from Zelensky’s Servant of the People party said Kyiv should demand the extradition of men who “illegally left Ukraine to escape mobilization.” (It is worth noting that Zelensky dodged the draft four times when he was a clown on TV.)
Russia has been making Ukrainian troops fight for every inch in the month-old counteroffensive and these forces have not even made it to the front lines. The Wall Street Journal described the obstacles: “Russian troops have spent months building physical defenses that include bunkers, tank traps, and minefields—some more than 15 miles deep.”

Russia was able to fortify these positions because the “spring offensive” kept being delayed. Kyiv complained that it was not sufficiently armed.
The report said men are fleeing the country to avoid the Russian meat grinder. Reports indicate that 400,000 Ukrainian soldiers have died since the war broke out and up to 50,000 have lost limbs and will not be able to return to the battlefield.
There are no official statistics on how many men between 18 and 60 fled the country. The report said there could be up to 80,0000 Ukrainian men seeking refuge in Poland alone. The general feeling among countries is that it is a human right to avoid conscription.
TRENDPOST: The West is under the impression that propaganda can replace troops and weapons for Ukraine, which is a falsehood that will only get more Ukrainians killed.
Who could blame Ukrainian men who fled the country to escape being blown up for Raytheon and Boeing?
Last month, Ukraine suffered another public-relations blow when it was revealed that conscription officials in the country lined their pockets and took bribes from men who wanted to avoid the draft.
The BBC reported that more than 30 officials face criminal charges in the country. Zelensky said taking bribes during a war is considered “high treason.”
We’ve long noted that there are hardly any Western reporters in the front because they would be killed, so news outlets in the West are writing stories about these gains from their cozy offices in London and New York. They rely on Ukraine and British Intelligence for updates.
Zelensky posted on X on Sunday, praising his forces that he said continue to “have the initiative.”
“We’ve made progress on the battlefield in the last week,” he said. “Moving forward in the Tavria and Bakhmut directions. Holding positions in the Kupyansk, Lyman, Avdiivka, and Mariinka directions. I thank all of our warriors for making this possible. Ukraine has the initiative each week.”
