A newly released study from researchers at Stanford University found that mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccines can cause rare instances of heart inflammation (myocarditis or pericarditis), but downplayed the presence of troponin in blood tests in some of these cases, which can normally be seen as evidence of a heart attack.
