Starving 2 Million Palestinians to Death May be the 'Moral' Move, Top Israeli Says
But minister admits that the move could create problems within the international community
Israel’s Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich — who owns Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — said Monday that starving 2 million Palestinians to death may be justified, but would be frowned on by the international community.
NEW TRENDS JOURNAL OUT TOMORROW
“We [Israel] bring in aid because there is no choice…We can’t, in the current global reality, manage a war. Nobody will let us cause 2 million civilians to die of hunger, even though it might be justified and moral, until our hostages are returned…We live today in a certain reality, we need international legitimacy for this war,” Smotrich said.
Edward Ahmed Mitchell, the head of CAIR, said in a statement that the Biden administration has enabled the “ongoing forced starvation of the Palestinian people in Gaza, where the Israeli government and members of the Israeli public systematically block humanitarian aid to Gaza.”
“If Biden administration officials cannot bring themselves to take actions to stop the genocide, forced starvation, ethnic cleansing and mass destruction of civilian infrastructure, they should at least be able to condemn the genocidal statements that Israeli officials have been making since last year,” Mitchell said.
IRAN REFUSES CALLS TO SHOW RESTRAINT
Smotrich, who has been opposed to any humanitarian aid into Gaza, told his supporters that Israel will allow aid “because there is no choice.”
The minister also wants Israelis to steal Gaza because he said anywhere there is not an occupation, there is “terror.”
Smortich has previously said there are no innocent Gazans and has compared them to Nazis, saying, “The political goal is to destroy Hamas, encourage (Palestinian civilians to leave) and take control of Gaza.”
He said the “voluntary immigration” of Palestinians from Gaza “will create a different reality on the ground and shine a completely different light on all discussions of ‘the day after.'”
Daniella Weiss, a top Israeli settler who served as mayor of a West Bank “settlement” called Kedumim and a close Smotrich ally, said one way to eradicate Palestinians from Gaza is to starve them out.
“They will move,” she said in an interview on TikTok. “The Arabs will move… So, we don’t give them food, we don’t give the Arabs anything, and they will have to leave. The world will accept them.”
TREND FORECAST: The Biden administration would never condemn comments like these from Smotrich because it would show the true ideology in Israel.
The mainstream media has tried to pretend that Netanyahu is the extremist, when, in fact, his views are mainstream in the country.
