Syria Accuses U.S. Forces of Stealing More Oil
Syria says looting of its natural resources by "occupying force" worsens after Biden ordered airstrikes
For the second day this week, Syrian news outlets have accused the U.S. of looting oil from the Syrian al-Jazeera in the northeast part of the country and delivering shipments into Iraq — toward American bases.
SANA, the Syrian news outlet, citing local witnesses, reported that “the occupation forces brought out 84 storage tankers carrying oil” and used the “illegal Mahmoudiyya crossings” to deliver the shipments into Iraq. Earlier this week, a U.S.-escorted convoy of 60 tankers stole oil from the U.S.-occupied Syrian territory and was seen headed towards American bases in northern Iraq, the outlet said.
The Pentagon did not respond to several emails from The Trends Journal seeking comment on the allegation.
