Top EU Diplomat: Israel's Actions in Gaza Go Beyond 'Proportionate Self-Defense
Israel has ramped up its genocide in Gaza, drawing criticism from even Europe's top warmonger.
Kaja Kallas, the EU foreign policy chief who has been a top promoter of war with Russia, said Monday that Israel has the right to defend itself, “but its current actions go beyond proportionate self-defense.”

The IDF has been carrying out an extensive bombing campaign in Gaza ever since the ceasefire with Hamas collapsed on 18 March. The Israelis have not allowed a morsel of food to enter the enclave in over a month.
“The humanitarian aid we are giving to Gaza and Palestinians should not be politicized. What it means is that it has to reach the people that are in need,” she said.
Israel has been dividing up Gaza and half of the enclave is inaccessible for Palestinians. Israel Katz, the defense minister, said last week that the enclave’s entire southern region needs to be turned into a buffer zone.
“All of Rafah will be evacuated and there will be a security zone. This is what we are doing now,” Katz said, according to NPR.
He posted on X Sunday that the IDF “completed the capture of the Morag axis, which separates Khan Yunis from Rafah and dissects the Gaza Strip from east to west along a 12 km stretch, making the area between the Philadelphia axis and Morag part of the Israeli security zone.”
