U.S. President Donald Trump’s Justice Department announced Friday that it launched an investigation into whether or not terrorism laws were violated during the anti-genocide protests that broke out last spring at Columbia University.
Todd Blanche, the deputy attorney general, said his department is investigating if Columbia’s handling of “earlier incidents violated civil rights laws and included terrorism crimes.”
