U.S. President Donald Trump, who tries to sell the bullshit line that he has nothing to do with the Ukraine War, had no breakthrough during his call yesterday with Russian President Vladimir Putin and has now threatened to walk away and wash his hands of the mess — while, of course, continuing to pump Kyiv with weapons and sanction Russia.

Trump vowed to bring the Ukraine War to an end on his first day in office, but has not delivered on that promise. (He’s better at shutting down anti-genocide protests on college campuses for his donors.)

The Trends Journal has noted that Trump is a daddy’s boy born on third base, and anyone paying any attention knew that he would not achieve peace in Ukraine. He has surrounded himself with neocon hawks like Marco Rubio and Steve Witkoff, his special envoy, who still can’t pronounce “Iran” correctly."

We noted that before Trump took office, Professor John Measheimer predicted that the Trump White House would likely maintain the status quo if elected.

“The principal cause of that is that [Russian President Vladimir] Putin’s demands are not something that Trump can easily accept,” he told Shanghai Eye.

Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy chairman of Russia’s national security council, called Trump an establishment insider in September.

“Will he really do it if elected? No, of course not,” Medvedev said. “For all his apparent bravado as an ‘outsider,’ Trump is ultimately an establishment insider. Yes, he is an eccentric narcissist but he is also a pragmatist. As a businessman, Trump understands that sanctions harm the dollar's dominance in the world. However, that's insufficient reason to stage a revolution in the United States and go against the anti-Russian line of the notorious Deep State, which is much stronger than any Trump.”
