Ukraine to U.S.: FU...We'll Keep Striking Oil Refineries in Russia to Escalate WWIII
Kyiv's response to reports that Washington urged its military to lay off these targets seemed to fit the script
Ukraine rejected so-called reports that Washington urged it to stop attacking Russian oil refineries, calling these targets legitimate because they are helping Russia fund the war.
Olga Stefanishyna, deputy prime minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, responded to a Financial Times report stating that Ukraine understands the appeals of American partners.
“At the same time, we fight with the capabilities, resources and practices that we have,” she said.
NORD STREAM INVESTIGATION IS OVER…AND IT ENDED AS YOU’D EXPECT
Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the office of Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, said he is unaware of any calls from the U.S. to halt these attacks.
The Financial Times, citing three people familiar with the discussions, reported yesterday that Washington called on Kyiv to stop attacks on these Russian facilities, “warning that the drone strikes risk driving up global oil prices and provoking retaliation.”
The report read:
One person said that the White House had grown increasingly frustrated by brazen Ukrainian drone attacks that have struck oil refineries, terminals, depots and storage facilities across western Russia, hurting its oil production capacity.
Washington is also concerned that if Ukraine keeps hitting Russian facilities, including many that are hundreds of miles from the border, Russia could retaliate by lashing out at energy infrastructure relied on by the west.
TRENDPOST: It is worth noting that stories like these are often planted in the media to allow the U.S. to come out publicly against these decisions while encouraging them from behind the scenes. Ukraine’s public rejection of the report is very similar to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who has rejected the U.S.’s call not to invade Rafah.
If the U.S. was truly opposed to Ukraine bombing these facilities, President Joe Biden or another high-ranking official, would pick up a phone and call Kyiv saying that these attacks will stop or else no more funding.
The Trends Journal has long forecast that as the Ukraine War fades from the mainstream news and as Kyiv keeps losing to Russia, Ukraine will ramp up the war with an attack on a nuclear power plant, an attack on a major Russian city, a major false flag attack, etc.
Ukraine has increased its attacks on targets inside Russia ever since its counteroffensive late last year failed to yield any gains and Western support seems to be slowing. Again, as we had forecast, watch for Ukraine to continue to strike these oil refineries and Russia’s energy sector to draw a more serious response from Moscow that will allow warmongers to accuse the Kremlin of becoming more bloodthirsty in hopes of galvanizing military and financial support.
