Unhinged Lieberman Calls Hamas Attack on Israel an 'Act of War,' and U.S. Must Respond
Lieberman was one of Congress’s strongest supporters for war in Iraq
Former warmonger Senator Joe Lieberman, the pro-Israel hawk, went on an unhinged rant during an interview Wednesday and said the U.S. needs to start striking targets inside Iran because the Hamas attack ON ISRAEL was an act of war.
“In an earlier time, this would be an act of war and the United States would respond,” he told 77WABC. “And I think we’ve come to that time where we have to point the finger at all the people making all of this misery occur….who hate America and hate Israel, and that’s the current regime in Iran.”
He said he believes it is time that the U.S. begins striking “military targets inside Iran.”
Lieberman, who was one of Congress’s strongest supporters for war in Iraq, said the U.S. can’t let Iran get away with creating instability in the region any longer. He said it is likely not the right time to strike nuclear sites, but rather Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp facilities “where they plan this stuff,” including the missile factories and drone factories.
Lieberman’s belligerent comments sounded like Amir Weitmann, the head of the libertarian caucus in Israel's Likud Party who appeared on Russia’s RT last week and warned that Israel will deal with Russia after the war.
“Russia is supporting the enemies of Israel. Russia is supporting Nazi people who want to commit genocide on us and Russia will pay the price,” Weitmann said, according to Newsweek. “We’re gonna win this war. Afterwards, we're not forgetting what you're doing, we're not forgetting, we will come, we will make sure Ukraine wins. We will make sure that you pay the price for what you have done, you as Russia.”
