The U.S. announced Tuesday that a Russian aircraft collided into a MQ-9 Reaper drone that was conducting “routine operations” in international airspace over the Black Sea.
Gen. James Hecker, commander of U.S. Air Forces Europe and Air Forces Africa, told reporters that two Russian Su-27s harassed the drone before the collision by dumping fuel on the drone and flying in an “unsound and unprofessional manner.”
RUSSIA FIRES MISSILE THAT U.S. CAN’T STOP
The statement read: “Our MQ-9 aircraft was conducting routine operations in international airspace when it was intercepted and hit by a Russian aircraft, resulting in a crash and complete loss of the MQ-9. In fact, this unsafe and unprofessional act by the Russians nearly caused both aircraft to crash.”
The U.S. said the Russian fighter struck the propeller of the drone.
The New York Times reported that there is video of the exchange that then U.S. said would prove its narrative.
The Russian Ministry of Defense took to Telegram to say “The Russian aircraft did not use on-board weapons, did not come into contact with the unmanned aerial vehicle, and returned safely to their home airfield.”
The U.S. has been giving Kyiv with real-time intelligence, including reportedly providing the Ukrainians with intelligence that enabled its military to kill top Russian generals on the battlefield and sink the Moskva, its flagship missile cruiser in the Black Sea.
The U.S. has been providing Ukraine with intelligence, infantry training, has forces on the ground in the country, and has put sanctions in place – all in hopes to achieve its stated goal for regime change in the Kremlin.
TRENDPOST: The Trends Journal is opposed to Russia’s invasion, but as we have detailed going back to 2014, we totally understand why Moscow did invade. In addition, as we have detailed, the European Union had classified Ukraine as the most corrupt country in Europe… and this border dispute is not—as the Western media and politicians are selling—of global concern.
We are opposed to sending Ukrainians out into the meat grinder for the West to achieve what U.S. Secretary of Defense, former General and board member of Raytheon, Lloyd Austin’s declared goal of weakening Russia and his pledging military support to Ukraine “for as long as it takes.”
Ukraine’s position has been clear since the outbreak of war: all Russian troops must leave the country before any negotiated settlement can occur. But the West wants to destroy Russia, so it has provided Ukraine with more weapons than it could ever imagine and Zelensky’s goals grew. Kyiv also wants Crimea and said it will not negotiate until Russian leaders face war-crime trials, which will never happen.
The Western media’s reporting on the conflict has been one-sided since before the war began and has—for months—presented the war as a slow-burning victory for Kyiv. Any report otherwise has been met with a tinge of disbelief.
Yeah of course it was in international space
Just like the Navy and CIA were in international waters.
The Russians were flying in an unsound and unprofessional manner! LMFAO. It’s war. How should they fly? Do these writers and editors proof read their work?
