U.S., Britain, Ukraine Behind Moscow Theater Massacre: Russian Spy Chief
The Trends Journal noted that Ukraine has lost on the battlefield and is now resorting to strikes on soft targets within Russia to keep Western countries interested in the war
Alexander Bortnikov, the head of Russia's Federal Security Service, said Tuesday that the U.S., Britain, and Ukraine were behind the Moscow theater massacre — as Kyiv tries to prove that it is “capable enough.”
“We believe that this is true. In any case, we are now talking about the factual information we have. This is general information, but they have a long record of this sort,” he said, according to TASS.
Russia criticized the U.S.’s swift reaction to the deadly Moscow concert shooting — somehow determining that there was no chance that Ukraine was involved and that the only responsible party was ISIS.
Adrienne Watson, a National Security Council spokeswoman, said in a statement that “ISIS bears sole responsibility for this attack. There was no Ukrainian involvement whatsoever.”
The shooting broke out on Friday at the Crocus City Hall music venue, killing at least 139 concertgoers. Russia said it arrested 11 suspects — including four “not far from the border with Ukraine.”
Maria Zakharova, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, told TASS that the U.S. response to the attack raised big questions and asked how the White House could claim Ukraine was not involved.
“What grounds Washington officials are using to draw any conclusions in the midst of the tragedy about someone’s noninvolvement is a big question. If the US or any other countries had reliable information on that it should have been provided to the Russian side immediately. If there is no such information neither the White House nor anyone else has the right to indulge anyone," she said.
The Islamic State (IS) group says it was behind the attack.
Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed revenge and noted during an address that some of the suspects were nabbed near the Ukrainian border.
Putin said, "The question that arises is who benefits from this?"
“We know by whose hand the crime against Russia and its people was committed. But what is of interest to us is who ordered it,” he said.
TRENDPOST: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Saturday that the “low-life Putin, instead of dealing with his Russian citizens, addressing them, was silent for a day, thinking about how to bring it to Ukraine.”
"Putin and his thugs are just trying to blame somebody else... It has happened before. There have been blown-up houses, shootings, explosions, and they always blame others," Zelensky said.
The Trends Journal noted that Ukraine has lost on the battlefield and is now resorting to strikes on soft targets within Russia to keep Western interests and try to prove that its military is still viable.
I can name that tune in three letters just like everyone else.
