U.S. Now Admits Israel Was Warned About Hamas Attack Threat...Why Didn't They Stop it?
The Trends Journal has reported extensively on Netanyahu’s push for judicial reforms in Israel that put the country on the brink of an all-out civil war...Now that's forgotten
Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, House Foreign Affairs head, told reporters today that he is trying to learn how Israel could have missed the major Hamas attack on Saturday and noted that Egypt did send a warning.
“We know that Egypt had warned the Israelis three days prior that an event like this could happen,” he said, according to Politico.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his country will continue to carry out revenge attacks in Gaza after an earlier attack by Hamas that killed hundreds in Israel.
He said Israel’s Air Force will strike any location that houses these fighters and “turn them into ruins.”
Deaf, Dumb and Blind?
As for Israel being unaware of the Hamas attack, this is Phil Giraldi posted on Facebook:
For what it’s worth I just posted this on Facebook together with a picture of Bibi and Biden head to head… Does anyone else remember the comments by Bibi?
Am I the only one who read about a speech given by Netanyahu or someone in his cabinet about a week ago in which he/they in passing referred to a “developing security situation” which rather suggests (to me) that they might have known about developments in Gaza and chose to let it happen so they can wipe Gaza off the map in retaliation and, possibly relying on the US pledge to have Israel’s “back,” then implicating Iran and attacking that country. I cannot find a link to it, but have a fairly strong recollection of what I read as I thought at the time it would serve as a pretext for another massacre of Palestinians.
As a former intelligence officer, I find it impossible to believe that Israel did not have multiple informants inside Gaza as well as electronic listening devices all along the border wall which would have picked up movements of groups and vehicles. In other words, the whole thing might be a tissue of lies as is often the case. And as is also ALWAYS the case Joe Biden is preparing to send some billions of dollars to poor little Israel to pay for “defending” itself.
Ben Bartee, a Bangkok-based American journalist, posted on his Substack page that questioned the Western narrative that the attack on Israel was some kind of a massive intelligence failure.
His argument was that Israel’s Mossad is one of the “most powerful intelligence agencies on the planet,” and its spies are scattered all over the Gaza Strip, which is “arguably the most heavily surveilled geographic areas on Earth.
“The Hamas invasion of Southern Israel yesterday was an operation involving tens of thousands of operatives, at least, across land, sea, and air, using all manner of equipment and weaponry—drones, thousands of rockets, countless firearms, and even bulldozers that were positioned to knock down Israeli fencing,” Bartee posted. “And MSNBC and CNN would have you believe this was all a big ‘intelligence failure’ by Mossad.”
He noted that Israel was divided over Netanyahu’s hardline government and judicial overhaul, which brought the country to the brink of civil war. He wrote that it is his belief that Mossad either knew the attack was looming or “actively facilitated the attack so Israelis “will rally around the flag for some patriotic Palestinian ass-kicking and their Prime Minister’s imminently obvious corruption will be, at least temporarily, forgotten, if not forgiven.”
MANNARINO: LIQUIDITY CRISIS? NO PROBLEM….START A WAR!!
One Israeli official told the BBC that the country’s investigation into the intelligence lapse could span for years.
The BBC said it is “frankly astounding that nobody saw this attack” coming.
“Or if they did, they failed to act on it,” the outlet said. “To prepare for and carry out such a coordinated, complex attack involving the stockpiling and firing of thousands of rockets, right under the noses of the Israelis, must have taken extraordinary levels of operational security by Hamas.”
The Trends Journal has reported extensively over the past year on Netanyahu’s push for judicial reforms in Israel that put the country on the brink of an all-out civil war.
Now that’s all forgotten.
As our cover this week states: When All Else Fails, They Take You To War.
