U.S. Rejects Moscow's Ceasefire Proposal in Ukraine: Report
Warmongers in the U.S. Senate, like Sen. Chucky Schumer, praised a new bill that would send another $60 billion to Kyiv so the losing war effort can continue
The Biden administration rejected a ceasefire proposal by Russia to bring an end to the fighting in Ukraine — as the warmongers in the U.S. Senate passed a $95 billion package with aid for Ukraine and Israel to keep the war and Gaza genocide going.
Reuters, citing three Russian sources with knowledge of the discussions, said these negotiations were done through intermediaries because the U.S. refuses to talk to Russia without Ukrainian officials in the room.
The report said:
Putin was proposing to freeze the conflict at the current lines and was unwilling to cede any of the Ukrainian territory controlled by Russia.
These discussions took place in late 2023 and early 2024, the report said.
“Everything fell apart with the Americans,” one of the sources told Reuters.
