Van Hollen: Bombs for Food
'Until the Netanyahu government allows more assistance into Gaza to help people who are literally starving to death, we should not be sending more bombs,' senator says
Sen. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., spoke to ABC News on Sunday and said Israel is “totally within its rights” to defend itself in the Gaza War, but it should not allow Palestinians to starve.
Van Hollen seems to believe it is more humane to kill Palestinians with bombs than starvation. He said Israel “has a duty to defend itself after the horrific Hamas attacks of October 7. But that right does not extend to restricting unnecessarily assistance to people in Gaza.”
He said, “Until the Netanyahu government allows more assistance into Gaza to help people who are literally starving to death, we should not be sending more bombs.”
So, with that rationale, once Israel allows more humanitarian aid into Gaza it will be able to go back to its bombing campaign fully supported by the genocidal maniacs in Washington.
Last month, Van Hollen said Israel was preventing food and water into Gaza as the population faces dramatic shortages and children are now dying from “the deliberate withholding of food.”
“That is a war crime. It is a textbook war crime. And that makes those who orchestrate it war criminals,” he said at the times. “So now the question is what will the United States do? What will we do? What will President Biden do? President Biden must take action in response to what is happening.”
But even knowing that Israel is collectively punishing Palestinians and starving innocent children, Van Hollen voted to send Netanyahu and his extremist Knesset another $17 billion to fund the massacre.
