The reason for that is becoming more crystal clear every day: powerful elements in the U.S. government worked in 2020 and 2021 to try to suppress any discussion of the Wuhan lab leak possibility.

A new interim staff report, by the U.S. House Committee on the Judiciary and the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, has detailed (what should be) explosive evidence of that illegal government interference in free speech rights and press freedoms.
Titled “THE CENSORSHIP-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX: HOW TOP BIDEN WHITE HOUSE OFFICIALS COERCED BIG TECH TO CENSOR AMERICANS, TRUE INFORMATION, AND CRITICS OF THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION,” the report was released on 1 May.
One of the more damning instances of government info suppression involved Facebook (now Meta), and efforts by Biden administration operatives to pressure the social media platform to censor lab leak-related discussion and information.
Commenting on the report, Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, posted on X on 1 May:
“On July 16, 2021, Mark Zuckerberg texted Sheryl Sandberg, Nick Clegg, and Joel Kaplan. Three of the highest-ranking executives at Facebook. Could Facebook tell the world that “the [Biden] WH put pressure on us to censor the lab leak theory?”
Uncovered emails between Zuckerberg and top executives at Facebook provided more smoking gun evidence that the U.S. government blatantly violated Constitutional free speech and political rights of Americans.
