Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky gave a “middle finger” to President-elect Donald Trump when he called Russian President Vladimir Putin a “dumbass” for challenging the West to a “technological” duel with hypersonic missiles, according to Russia’s top security official.

Dmitry Medvedev accused Zelensky of attempting to “show off his coolness through public insults,” according to Russia’s RT. He said the insults were essentially an attempt by the “expired drug addict scum” to give Trump the middle finger — trying to illustrate that no negotiations with Moscow could happen.

He said the message was: “You will continue to give us money and weapons.”

Zelensky mentioned how Putin said the “duel” would include Russia’s feared Oreshnik missile. Putin said the West could identify a target — maybe in Kyiv — and focus their anti-missile systems on the location and see if the hypersonic missile could hit the target.

“Do you think this is an adequate person? Just a scumbag,” Zelensky said, as translated by Ukrinform.

Zelensky is desperate to keep the U.S. supporting his war against Russia and said yesterday that he does not believe security guarantees from Europe — without the U.S.’s involvement — would be sufficient, according to the Financial Times.

“it is impossible to discuss only with Europeans because the only guarantee, currently or in the future is NATO [membership],” he said, according to the paper.
