Zelensky Says Negotiations Are Pointless, Russia Not as Tough as Believed
Warns Russian troops to flee before counteroffensive
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky continues his tough talk against Russia and brushes aside any mention of possible negotiations to bring a settlement to the war that killed thousands and cost hundreds of billions in damage.
NO NEGOTIATIONS: “Everyone must realize that they are not as powerful as they have claimed to be in all those red-clad books they wrote over the course of the past 100 years,” he told Interfax Ukraine. “At the time when their country had any real power, the USSR had also included Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus, the Baltic States. The myth of a great country must be left behind. We are proving this on the battlefield.”
He continued, “They don’t want to negotiate. Their understanding [of negotiations] is an ultimatum: we must recognize Donbas and Crimea as Russian territories. Recently, they said that Ukraine must also recognize its south[ern regions] as Russian territory after they hold their so-called ‘referendum’ there […] In half a year, they will come for more of our territories. However, Russian government representatives will definitely want to negotiate with us as soon as they see the world’s powerful support for Ukraine."
NEW OFFENSIVE: There are unverified reports that Ukraine is conducting a counteroffensive in the Russian-occupied Kherson region. The New York Times reported that Ukrainian forces are pounding targets across southern region of the country to essentially choke off Russian forces.
The paper, citing the British military intelligence agency, reported that Ukrainian fighters “increased the weight of artillery fires in frontline sectors across southern Ukraine” but noted that it was “not yet possible to confirm the extent of Ukrainian advances.”
Zelensky, once again, vowed to take back control of Crimea.
“This war, which began with Russia's occupation of our Crimea, with an attempt to seize Donbas, must end precisely there—in the liberated Crimea, in the liberated cities of Donbas, with our troops reaching the state border of Ukraine. We have always kept this goal in mind. We do not forget about it,” he said.
TRENDPOST: Earlier this summer, The Trends Journal ran a cover titled, “THE BIG LIE: Russia Will Lose!”, that noted ongoing reports in the West by military and other “experts” that predict Russian forces are suffering massive casualties and the Ukraine military will beat them. These reports highlighted alleged troop desertions and victories by Ukrainian forces. The losses were due to a catastrophic miscalculation by Russian President Vladimir Putin who thought Ukraine would lay down its arms when his tanks began to roll.
But the realities on the ground have since become more apparent. Russia now controls all the territory in the Luhansk region, and it is believed that Putin intends to take over larger swaths of the country.
TREND FORECAST: Ukraine would have been forced to negotiate with Russia months ago if not for the multi-billion dollar weapon flows from the West and billions in funding to prop up the economically broke and busted Kyiv government.
The West is fighting more than just a “proxy war” with Russia. It is, by its money and weapons transfers into Ukraine, an accessory to the crime.
We forecast, as economies in the West decline, the war drags on, and Ukraine loses more territory to Russia... the massive weapons and money flows will dry up and Russia will win the war.
But then again, there is always the wild card, and this one is a false flag or real nuclear exchange in which case, if We the People do not unite for Peace and Freedom, it will be the beginning of the end of life on earth and the thousands year “Little Ice Age,” as we noted in this Trends Journal (See NUCLEAR WAR: MELT, BURN AND FREEZE).
