Zelensky Wants NATO to Surround Russia, Demands Path to Membership for Ukraine
The Trends Journal has reported since the start of the war that any mention of peace has been banned in the U.S.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, once again, made the pitch for his country to become a full member of NATO today at the the 2nd European Political Community Summit in Moldova and said, “This year is for decisions.”
“In summer in Vilnius at the NATO summit, a clear invitation from members of Ukraine is needed, and security guarantees on the way to NATO membership are needed,” he said, according to France 24.
“Our future is in the EU,” he said. “Ukraine is ready to join NATO,” he said.
Zelensky told reporters that NATO membership should be given to all countries bordering Russia because Moscow “tries to swallow only those who are outside of the common security space,” Al Jazeera reported.
Annalena Baerbock, Germany’s war hawk foreign minister who already said Europe is at war with Russia, said, “NATO’s open door policy remains in place, but at the same time, it is clear that we cannot talk about accepting new members in the midst of a war.”
